The Company

Thornton's Lollies, a family business, was founded by Harry Thornton in 1947. The company, run by Managing Director David Thornton, now employs around forty staff during the summer months.

We manufacture ice cream and associated products such as frozen drink sticks, supplying supermarkets, retail chains, wholesalers, retail outlets and ice cream van vendors. Our philosophy is to supply you with a quality product at the right price. This will enable you to sell a product that retailers and consumers will enjoy, at a price they will be happy to pay again and again, whilst retaining an excellent margin for yourself.

To give you an idea of the quality of our products, we won a first prize in the Silver Challenge Cup of the Ice Cream Alliance national competition in 1997.
